We are a locally owned infrastructure contractor that is focused on building concrete structures and bridges in the state of Georgia. We are a growing company with a strong backlog. The ideal candidate for this position has experience in Human Resources in the construction industry. We are looking for someone that is a fast learner and willing to take on responsibility.
Human Resources Responsibilities
- Recruiting
- Post job openings online & social media
- Maintain contact with recruiters
- Coordinate interviews with candidates
- Reach out to potential candidates for job openings
- Hiring and Onboarding
- Conduct employee onboarding.
- Conduct orientation for new employees.
- Coordinate with employee benefit providers.
- Maintain employee records.
- Employee Relations / Retention
- Maintain communication with all employees to positively impact retention
- Develop positive relationships with all employees
- Lead employee relations and support positive company culture
- Assist with resolving workplace conflicts
- Coordinate employee reviews
- Compensation & benefits
- Assist with job description development
- Assist with compensation structure development
- Coordinate with health insurance and benefit providers including annual renewal
- Training, Development, Safety
- Coordinate company training and employee events
- Coordinate medical treatment for workers comp cases
- Coordinate insurance and workers comp claims
- Maintain training records
- Maintain OSHA 300 log
- Coordinate training with internal and external resources
- Keep up with industry trends
- Payroll
- Run payroll weekly
- Adjust payroll information for employees as needed
- Issue annual employee tax documents
- Pay per diems and coordinate hotel stays for field employees
- HR Compliance
- Update company policies and handbook as needed
- Maintain all HR records
- Assist with compliance of labor laws
- Possess or can obtain and maintain SHRM certification within 18 months of employment.
- Ability to work in an office environment. Infrequent visits to jobsites within the State of GA will be required.
- Has reliable transportation to and from the workplace.
- The ability to speak fluent Spanish is a must.
