Role Overview

• Candidates must be skilled, detail-oriented and experienced Construction Estimator with profound understanding of local construction costs, materials, and processes.
• Prepare accurate cost estimates for new builds and large renovations and additions, ensuring that each project aligns with the mission and core values and meets our high standards of quality and accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for custom home building and renovation projects, including materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
• Analyze architectural drawings and specifications to calculate the quantity and quality of materials required.

• Work closely with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain and negotiate accurate pricing and ensure their scope of work is correct.
• Collaborate with the construction team to ensure project feasibility and cost efficiency.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, costs, and construction techniques.
• Ensure estimates align with Supple Homes' core values and mission statement.
• Assist in the preparation and approval of bids, budgets, and cost tracking reports.
• Provide recommendations to optimize costs without compromising quality.
• Participate in project meetings and contribute to the strategic planning and evolution of the company.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and understand detailed construction drawings and specifications.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in a custom home building company, preferably in our local home building market.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Google Workspace, BuilderTrend and MS Office.
• Excellent negotiation and both verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
