Construction Estimator

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Construction Estimator to join our team. As a Construction Estimator, you will be responsible for analyzing construction plans, specifications, and other documentation to prepare accurate cost estimates for construction projects. You will work closely with project managers, architects, and subcontractors to ensure that projects are completed within budget and meet quality standards. Responsibilities: - Review construction plans, specifications, and other project documentation to understand project scope and requirements. - Conduct detailed quantity take-offs and cost estimates for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor services. - Utilize construction estimating software such as Bluebeam and HeavyBid to prepare accurate cost estimates. - Collaborate with project managers, architects, and subcontractors to gather necessary information for estimating purposes. - Prepare bid packages and submit proposals to clients in a timely manner. - Negotiate pricing with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure competitive bids. - Monitor project costs throughout the construction process and provide cost control recommendations. - Assist in value engineering efforts to identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality. - Participate in pre-construction meetings and site visits as required. - Keep up-to-date with industry trends, materials, and construction methods. Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field preferred. - Proven experience as a Construction Estimator or similar role. - Strong knowledge of construction estimating principles, practices, techniques, and software. - Proficient in using Bluebeam or similar software for quantity take-offs and cost estimating. - Excellent mathematical skills with the ability to accurately calculate quantities and costs. - Familiarity with project management concepts and practices. - Strong negotiation skills to obtain competitive pricing from subcontractors and suppliers. - Detail-oriented with the ability to analyze complex construction documents. - Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with project teams and clients. Pay: $65,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
