.
This position will be responsible ensuring for the coordination of construction projects by managing project documentation, and QA/QC for all documents and installation recommendations. In addition, this position will provide on-site interface and support to the design team, owner’s representatives, and contractors.
Responsibilities:
• Take overall responsibility for the performance and quality control of all MEP trades. This includes, but is not
limited to the following scope of work:
o Mechanical
o Plumbing
o Ductwork
o Building Controls
o Electrical
o Fire Alarm
o Fire Protection
• Intimate knowledge of all project’s MEPFP-related design documents.
• MEPFP contractor oversight and coordination.
• Manage BIM coordination and shop drawing process including resolution of conflicts. May involve the use of Autocad, Revit and Bluebeam.
• Interface with the project design team, owner’s representatives, and contractors.
• Provide scheduling input to the project team as it relates to the MEP trades.
• Coordinate onsite MEP activities, materials procurement, and other related activities with Project Manager and Field Staff.
• Communicate progress and prepare appropriate reports as needed and requested.
• Manage submittals, RFIs, and issues related to MEPFP.
• Quality control/adherence to documents and manufacturer’s installation recommendations.
• Attend weekly meetings with owners, architects and subcontractors. Chair additional meetings with the MEP subcontractors as necessary.
• Manage systems’ start-up and commissioning effort in conjunction with commissioning agent(s).
• Manage and approve owner training and close-out documentation.
Qualifications:
• BS in Construction Management, Engineering, or a similar field preferred.
• 7+ years of experience in the commercial MEPFP industry. Proficient in Bluebeam and Procore.
• General knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection disciplines, can have a higher degree
of knowledge in one industry.
• Organized, energetic, willing to work as a team, and reliable.
• Full-time and/or part-time on project site.
• Travel required.
• Able to work collaboratively within Concord as well with the client, contractors and vendors.
• Excellent Microsoft Office abilities
• Able to read, write, speak, and understand English
