A leading residential specialty contractor is currently seeking an experienced CFO to join their team! The main responsibilities of this position include forecasting, preparing, and monitoring the company’s financial reports, which include balance sheets, income statements, and cash flows for multiple entities. The CFO executes internal controls to ensure the accuracy and completeness of the financial statements and operational financial reports, such as job costs. Duties and Responsibilities:
- Book general ledger journal entries and post accounts payable.
- Close ERP (Sage Construction 300) modules and generate monthly financial reports.
- Manage and monitor all accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems.
- Maintain internal control safeguards, including reconciliations, to ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial statements and operational financial reports, such as job cost reports.
- In conjunction with the CEO, establish financial and operating benchmarks, forecasts, program monitoring, and reporting standards on recurring basis.
- Develop and enforce internal controls to maximize protection of company assets, policies, procedures, and workflow.
- Oversee and support accounting team with dynamic leadership that creates an environment of trust and productivity.
- Assist in any compliance audits, including collaboration with external accountants.
- Filing of invoices, check payments, or other supporting documents.
- Provide back up support and assistance in any special projects.
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of proven accounting experience, including with multiple entities.
- 5+ years' experience as a senior-level accounting or finance manager
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business, construction management
- CPA highly preferred
- Working knowledge of finance law and regulatory standards (GAAP)
- Intermediate computer skills (MS Word, Excel)
- Experience working with ERP software, such as inputting invoices, generating reports, etc.
- Strong working knowledge of detailed financial data analysis
- Exemplary history of financial project management and decision making
- Working knowledge of federal, state, and local tax compliance regulations and reporting
