SAIC is looking for an experienced Configuration Control Engineer for the USG program office. This position is responsible for product design changes and the effects on the overall system. Assists in documenting and tracking all aspects of system development and modifications. Ensures configuration identification by managing review of design release documents, specification changes, and other such documentation for completeness and proper authorizations. Prepares deviations, waivers, and requests for change (RFCs) for government approval when specifications cannot be met. Manages review of all issued document change requests, document change notices and associated drawings for accuracy, completeness and proper signatures. Manages coordination and approval of development contractor and SETA contractor CDRLs. May structure and maintain databases. Submits engineering changes to customers for review and approval; maintains records and submit reports regarding status. Prepares configuration verification audit record sheets for all programs.
Job Duties include:
- Manages program baseline documentation and all associated changes
- Leads coordination of baseline specifications and standards changes within program office and externally with the Enterprise
- Facilitates Configuration Control Board execution, records and publishes minutes and actions, tracks changes to specifications and standards
- Maintains virtual and hard copy (as needed) library of baseline documentation
- Manages CDRL library (virtual) and coordinates CDRLs for review and approval (as necessary)
- Leverage a variety of software tools and develop scripts to perform analyses and automation of tasks, as well as ingest data from a variety of commercial and custom analysis tools to evaluate development contractor designs and performance
- Develop productive relationships with development contractor counterparts, functional counterparts, and other spacecraft, payload, and ground subject matter experts
- Advise and mentor customer personnel regarding Segment architecture, specification, and verification and validation
Qualifications

- Requires a TS/SCI with Poly
- BS Degree in a technical discipline required
- 9 years of experience with a BS degree
Skills and Experience
- Education and experience with configuration management
- Demonstrated knowledge of managing program configuration at various levels
- Experience in DoD/IC acquisition process and program management milestones
- Demonstrated sustained superior performance
- Excellent interpersonal, leadership, team building and problem solving skills with demonstrated ability to be effective in a USG/Contractor team
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
