Job SummaryThis position performs technical duties in the installation, maintenance, upgrade, and replacement of computer hardware, software, and peripheral devices.
Responsibilities- Installs, deploys, maintains, and updates information technology. (45%)
- Sets up and takes down computer workstations in offices, labs, and classrooms.Installs, updates, and troubleshoots a variety of computer software programs.Maintains inventory of IT equipment.Lifts and transports computers, monitors, printers, and other devices across campus.Processes surplus equipment; prepares equipment for transport to Materials Management.Installs and configures copiers and printers and ensures that print server is operational.
- Troubleshoots and repairs computer hardware, software, and peripheral devices. (45%)
- Monitors online work order ticket system; prioritizes and resolves issues.Troubleshoots and repairs hardware and softwareProvides solutions to restore systems and programs to normal operations.Maintains records of repairs and fixes for future reference.Utilizes hand tools to repair computers and peripheral devices.
- Performs a variety of related duties as assigned. (10%)
- Associates degree required.Less than one year of related experience required.Possession of or ability to readily obtain a valid driver¿s license issued by the State of Georgia for the type of vehicle or equipment operated.
