Links Solutions is seeking a Computer System Administrator to join our team in Aberdeen, Maryland.

The Computer System Administrator will provide support for the protection of the Army's Project Manager for Intelligence Systems and Analytics (IS&A) ensuring their availability, integrity, authentication, and confidentiality.
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Computer Systems Administrator who will be responsible for day-to-day operations, maintenance, and support of Computer Systems and networks. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to ensure the reliability and security of IT infrastructure.
Job Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, and maintain operating systems, server hardware, and software applications.
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues proactively.
- Manage and maintain network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless networks.
- Implement and enforce network security measures.
- Provide technical support to end-users, resolving hardware and software issues in a timely manner.
- Respond to and resolve helpdesk tickets and user-reported problems.
- Implement and manage backup and recovery solutions to ensure data integrity and availability.
- Test and verify backups regularly.
- Implement and enforce security policies and procedures.
- Perform regular security audits and updates to mitigate vulnerabilities.
- Coordinate and apply software updates and patches to servers and workstations.
- Ensure that systems are up-to-date with the latest security patches.
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for system configurations, processes, and procedures.
- Develop and update IT infrastructure documentation.
- Monitor system resources and plan for capacity expansion as needed.
- Evaluate and recommend hardware and software upgrades.

- Must possess a TS/SCI Clearance
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred. A minimum of ten (10) years of experience of relevant experience may be considered for the education requirements.
- 7 years of direct experience performing network and Computer Systems administration for the day-to-day operation of the office's networks, share drives, and SharePoint applications.
- Experience troubleshooting computer issues.
- Proficiency in Windows and/or Linux server administration.
- Familiarity with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).
- Experience implementing security measures and monitoring systems for potential threats.
- Knowledge of network protocols and services.
- Understanding of cybersecurity best practices.
Preferred:
- Experience setting up and providing computers for incoming personnel according to the Army Policy and in coordination with the NEC.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently.
- Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical users.
- Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
- Accurate and precise attention to detail.
