- Monitors the ops mailbox and acts an all emails requests.
- Monitors opmanager.
- When an alert is sent, performs next steps as stated in the alarm,
- Monitor systems and interfaces.
- Monitor Interface Engine which includes troubleshooting error conditions and working with analysts and vendor when necessary.
- Ensure immediate escalation of production issues to Manager or to the Director in the absence of the Manager.
- Escalate Communicate all other issues/concerns to Manager Director, as applicable.
- Effectively communicate with Manager, cross-functional team leads/team members, clients & vendors,both Written & Verbal.
- Communicate effectively with the user community regarding the status during system downtimes and unusual circumstances.
- Is resourceful in all types of circumstances, especially difficult situations.
- Monitors BMS system, handles/escalates issues as they occur.
- Acts on high priority tickets immediately and escalates as needed.
- Run jobs processes in accordance with procedures.
- Performs walk thru of the data center, UPS room and transformer room on each shift.
- Opens tickets for appropriate teams for any alerts discovered and escalates any major issue to manager.
- Perform necessary actions related to each of the 30 day account expiration lists and emails received.
- Follow-up as necessary.
- Control access of vendors and outside employees needing to enter the data center.
- Check to see if they are expected, signed in and out and notify manager.
- Ensure all unauthorized visitors are denied access.
- Provide Phone Support/ helpdesk functions.
- Works with other IT teams when needed.
- Publish Daily Morning Report.
- Attend morning call.
- Review morning report and quarterback issues on call.
- Acts as quarterback afterhours and escalates issues to appropriate teams.
- Perform receiving duties for deliveries for operations and other teams,
- Operates loading dock, sign for deliveries and communicates with other teams on the status of the delivery,
- Perform Operational Administrative duties with quality,
- Has the knowledge to know where to look for department documentation,
- Demonstrates the ability to read, understand and follow departmental documentation before asking for assistance from a co-worker,
- Create, maintain & post applicable documentation in the Operations Team share,
- Logs, sends and receives off site tapes on an as needed basis,
- Has the ability to priortize shift responsibilities.
- Attend & participate in meetings with Manager and all.
