-Lead, manage, and direct activities of HUD Section 8 housing staff including, recertifications, HAP payment vouchering, application procedures, legal, and all HUD compliance.
-Ensure that all tenant files, records, and waiting list are maintained pursuant to HUD required standards
-Strong understanding of the HUD Section 8 Handbook and works closely with regulatory agencies and contract administrators
-Reviews recertifications with housing staff to assure compliance with the HUD Handbook
-Ability to train new and existing staff with all aspects of compliance with the HUD Handbook
-Ability to file all reports timely including government and mortgagee reporting requirements.
-Monitors waitlist and EIV lists for compliance with HUD requirements
-Has knowledge with Tenant Selection Plans, Affirmative Marketing Plans, Management filing documents, Lease packages and annual certification requirements.
-Knowledge of rent increases pursuant to OCAF, and annual OCAF submissions including completing Utility Analysis and submitting the Utility Adjustment.
Must have at least 7 years of affordable housing Section 8 experience, and proficient with the applicable software, including mri/boston post.
