Hybrid 2x a week - Tuesday and Wednesday.
70% COC Review
• Review and validate product test reports, accept certificate of compliance and labels to ensure TJX merchandise conforms with both US regulations and TJX requirements.
• Maintain TJX’s product safety database and related documentation.
• Informational Customer service resource for vendors looking to do business with TJX.
• Stay current on US product regulations (CPSC, FTC, EPA, USDA etc.) and provide guidance on standard methodologies and trends on how it will impact the company's compliance program.
30% Projects and Problem Solving
• Work on projects related to compliance with US state, federal or local product laws that impact product safety and records management.
• Work with business partners to respond to incidents and help specific groups remediate findings in product safety assessments as needed
• Assists with daily product compliance program functions including incidence response.
• Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
• 3-4 years comparable compliance experience, product safety experience preferred
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to influence and build effective working relationships with internal and external partners in a rapidly changing environment
• Comfortable collaborating and partnering with all levels across business functions including Merchandising, Legal, IT, Store Operations and others
• Critical thinking skills with common sense, pragmatic mindset
• Highly organized with attention to detail, can prioritize multiple work streams concurrently
• Strong training skills, with the ability to simplify complex ideas and adapt communication to the needs of the audience.
• Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills
• Proficient with Microsoft 365/Office suite including Excel as well as database management tools
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
