GENERAL SUMMARY OF THE POSITION:
GMA Construction Group is seeking an experienced Compliance Administrator. The ideal candidate will provide regulatory program management aimed at ensuring all regulatory requirements for the project are met and or exceeded.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Before, throughout and at the conclusion of construction projects, the ideal candidate manages the collection of compliance information from Subcontractors to ensure that the project meets compliance threshold requirements of governmental entities regarding diversity, hiring and residency goals.
- Work to identify a comprehensive pool of Women-Owned Business / Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) firms to engage in the subcontractor bidding process.
- Prepare a comprehensive Minority and Women-Owned Business (MWBE) Utilization Plan based on total project budget to ensure achievement of City of Chicago MWBE goals.
- Schedule and attend the Government Department of Planning and Development (DPD) Monitoring and Compliance/Construction kick-off meetings with the Owner and applicable regulatory agencies.
- Verify Minority and Women-Owned Business (MWBE) credentials of selected firms by collecting MWBE certificates.
- Make phone calls and send emails to contracted subcontractors confirming their understanding of regulatory goals and project requirements.
- Host post award meetings for contracted firms to ensure all are advised of regulatory goals and requirements and ensure that each firm has a plan in place that adheres to site demographics, residency and community hiring requirements for the project.
- Host Community Outreach Hiring to build a database of Section 3/community residents that can be hired to the project site.
- Ensure the General Contractor has a complete packet of required compliance documentation to be inserted into subcontractor trade agreements.
- Confirm and finalize Minority and Women-Owned Business (MWBE) project plan.
- Confirm and finalize Section 3 hiring commitments.
- Host post award meetings for subcontracted firms to ensure all are advised of regulatory goals and requirements and ensure that each firm has a plan in place that adheres to site demographics, Chicago residency and community hiring.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $65,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
