Job description

Summary

The Compliance Analyst II position will be responsible for ensuring compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and company policies and procedures, including, without limitation: performing due diligence reviews; ensuring the Company’s compliance with the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), Title 31, and the Company’s Compliance and AML Plans; and monitoring the Company’s regulatory schedule and preparing the Company’s regulatory filings. The successful candidate must have the ability to maintain strict confidentiality of all investigations, documents, and communications.

Essential Function and Responsibilities

  • Train and develop team members with AML and regulatory responsibilities.
  • Develop, prepare, file, and monitor regulatory reports and requirements with various regulatory agencies.
  • Conduct Title 31 audits and Know-Your-Customer (KYC) reviews.
  • File Currency Transaction Reports (CTR) and Suspicious Activity Reports (SAR), pursuant to the Bank Secrecy Act and Title 31 Anti-Money Laundering laws.
  • Identify and analyze compliance risks, provide recommendations to management, and take necessary actions to eliminate or minimize risk.
  • Maintain documents archive, including document requests and regulatory reports.
  • Assist with internal and external audits, as necessary.
  • Attend Nevada Gaming Control Board regulatory workshops.
  • Perform due diligence background reviews on vendors, consultants, lobbyists, and third-party partners, as assigned.
  • Preparation and submission of regulatory applications of state and local applications for business, liquor, tavern, tobacco and gaming licensing, including state and local key employee licensing in support of licensing function.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years’ experience in a compliance/investigations department, law enforcement or gaming regulatory position.
  • Prior AML compliance experience and gaming or hospitality operations experience preferred.
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • Must be able and willing to successfully complete Title 31 annual training.
  • Previous experience working in an environment with sensitive and/or confidential information.
  • Must have knowledge of state gaming regulations, relevant federal regulations, and industry best practices.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, both written and verbal.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and Microsoft Outlook
  • Previous experience providing professional communication, both written and verbal, to regulatory agents in both one-on-one and small group settings.
  • Previous experience with successful project management, with proven ability to complete multiple projects in a timely manner.
  • Previous experience successfully working independently without assigned deadlines.
  • Must be detail oriented.
  • Proven ability to critically analyze and interpret information and make sound decisions and recommendations involving high-level and sensitive information.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Must be willing to travel, if required.

Physical Requirements

  • Occasionally push and/or pull up to 20 lbs.
  • Occasionally lift and/or carry up to 20 lbs. at floor, knee, and waist levels
  • Occasional standing
  • Occasional walking
  • Constant use of hearing and vision, sitting, distinguishing between shades of color, and using tools or equipment requiring a high degree of dexterity
