Loews Hotels is hiring for a Compensation Specialist!
The Compensation Specialist prepares compensation recommendations for Loews Hotels at Universal Orlando to ensure Team Members are placed appropriately in the salary range or hourly rate aligned with company compensation guidelines and strategy as well as applicable laws and regulations. The position makes salary recommendations based on market data and other relevant internal and external factors.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Reviews and approves compensation proposals for internal and external job offers to include sign on bonuses and relocation components.
- Prepares and implements on and off cycle wage increases.
- Assists in the delivery and preparation of communication materials on all compensation matters.
- Prepares and maintains job descriptions for each position in the organization; ensures descriptions accurately reflect the work being performed by incumbents.
- Assists in the creation of new positions to include job title, compensation range, classifications. Coordinates system configuration of new and changed positions.
- Identifies and participates in relevant market and industry compensation surveys, and analyzes the results.
- Utilizes survey data and other market intelligence to evaluate wage and salary levels and make recommendations.
- Ensures compliance with applicable laws and regulations, including FLSA and EEO.
- Partners with HRIS and Payroll to complete compensation related data audits, system configuration, and testing.
- Supports the administration of the company’s short term incentive program for Orlando properties.
- Assists in ensuring compliance of wage and hour regulations, to include Tip Credit and 7(i).
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
- Working knowledge of Human Resource laws, regulations, and best practices.
- Proficient in MS Office.
- Working knowledge of HRIS systems, experience with Workday preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proven experience as a Compensation Specialist or similar role with responsibility to administer compensation programs
