This is an Extended Temporary Employment (ETE) position.
This position will be from 1-2 years.

- Identify and recruit limited income adults, families and youth by gathering preliminary data and information on potential participants within assigned geographic area to educate using the prescribed curriculum of nutrition education and related disciplines.
- Become knowledgeable in prescribed curriculum and materials to be able to plan, deliver and educate program participants in the area of nutrition, healthy living and related disciplines.
- Implement pre- and post-assessments for all program participants. Log and monitor participant data and progress through program. Maintain and complete all forms on a regular basis that are required by the University of Arizona.
- Create and maintain partnerships with community programs and service providers to build relationships to be able to offer our nutrition education program. Able to work well with others.
- Assist supervisor with establishing contacts with appropriate community resources. Assist and maintain communication with supervisor on participant progress.

- Able to recruit limited resource participants in the community.

- Ability to work effectively as a team member and/or independently and respond positively to supervision.
- Ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks, meet deadlines and complete required program reports.
- Ability to work flexible hours which may include evenings and/or weekends, as appropriate.
- Ability to and willingness to work with diverse audiences and maintain cultural sensitivity.
- Ability and willingness to work with a high degree of integrity, accuracy, organization, professional judgement and ability to handle confidential information.
- When requested, the applicant will need the ability to travel to different locations in Pinal County to deliver the EFNEP nutrition classes.
- High school diploma or equivalent, or equivalent learning attained through experience required.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience required.
- Experience in facilitating educational sessions.
- Experience in recruiting limited resource participants.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and ability to drive according to the University Fleet Safety Policy.
- Experience in adult/youth education or relevant experience.
- Experience working with limited resource audience in the community.
- Experience in planning and organizing work responsibilities according to priorities developed with supervisor.
