Community Outreach Specialist
As a Community Outreach Specialist, you will play a vital role in connecting with Medicare seniors in the community to enhance client growth. Growth and community engagement are integral aspects of this position, focusing on building and fostering relationships with community leaders to encourage the involvement of Medicare-eligible seniors. This role demands flexibility, creativity, teamwork, and problem-solving skills to be effective.
In addition to engaging community leaders, the Community Outreach Specialist is responsible for establishing and maintaining mutually beneficial relationships with local organizations. Promote SBHIS Medicare solutions to eligible seniors by connecting with individuals influential to our Medicare population. Achieving these goals requires proficiency in marketing and adeptness at building and nurturing relationships.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Visit 20 to 30 offices weekly to establish, foster, and sustain professional relationships with doctors, medical groups, and the local community.
- Conduct thorough research to gain a comprehensive understanding of the influencer and community partner network within your specific market. Act as a liaison between INSURUS/SBHIS and local healthcare providers.
- Engage in prospecting and phone outreach to businesses in your designated territory, including senior buildings, senior groups, and similar entities.
- Achieve the primary goal of influencing prospect acquisition and meeting lead generation targets for each center within your assigned territory by leveraging community relationships to engage with Medicare seniors.
- Collaborate with community leaders to identify potential avenues for expanding and cultivating new channels of client growth.
- Coordinate all facets of events, both internally and externally, ensuring they are engaging, attract substantial participation, and efficiently generate leads.
- Generate a minimum of 200 leads monthly to support the Sales Team in achieving their monthly enrollment goals.
- Assist to recruit, retain, and nurture a team of high-potential agents with a strong performance history
- Develop both the long-term vision and strategy for the team while overseeing day-to-day sales operations pertaining to lead generation
- Add all business contacts into the system of record
Event Planning:
- Plan and supervise a minimum of 20 events each calendar month, working in partnership with local community leaders within the designated territory.
- Plan lead generation and community engagement activities at least 6 weeks in advance to effectively develop and maintain a lead pipeline.
- Coordinate all aspects of events, both internally and externally, ensuring they are captivating, attract significant participation, and effectively generate leads
- Clearly communicate goals, strategies, and expectations for each event with the Business Development Director and Managers.
- Ensure all events, activities, communication, materials, media, promotions, etc., comply with corporate, CMS rules and regulations. Submit all events to CMS and health plans.
- Assist in the preparation of marketing and education events, activities, and presentations for eligible partners and provider partners.
Sales:
- Proactively collaborate with local community leaders to create Community Outreach opportunities and increase field account engagement.
- Continuously monitor activities of health industry competitors and provide information to management.
- Work with the agent leader to place agents in provider offices and maintain the relationship to ensure positive results
- Schedule and attend providers' in-service and IPA’s meetings and track all visits and activities.
- Assumes other responsibilities as required or requested by upper management

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
