FlexEtc is an exciting new startup in the co-warehousing and workspace field. We take large warehouses and convert them into bustling hubs of industry where people can rent smaller, individual warehouses and office spaces to run their whole business from under one roof. Our goal is to help businesses grow by providing space that is designed to help them succeed, and the team onsite is one of the most important factors in making that happen!
We are looking for a charismatic and personable Community Manager to join the team at our location in Los Angeles.
The Community Manager is the helpful and knowledgeable point of contact onsite at our co-warehouse facility. They are enthusiastic, energetic, and outgoing self-starters who possess excellent sales, marketing, and customer service skills. The right manager is someone who takes pride in their work and works with integrity to do the best job they are capable of. They are upbeat with a fun sense of humor and easy to work with.
Community Managers contribute to a successful property by running an organized office, engaging positively with customers, earnestly following up on leads, maintaining existing business relationships with clients and vendors, and communicating clearly with the entire management team. The right candidate is detail oriented, organized, and enjoys finding creative solutions for problems.
This position is involved in all phases of the operation, including leasing warehouse & office space, working alone and with a team, assisting with cleaning & maintenance, supervising onsite projects, maintaining good relationships with tenants, and reporting progress to management.
We are a growing company and already expanding to open new locations within the next 12 months in Utah, Colorado, Tennessee, Texas, and more. We want to find someone who is eager to master this role and help us train new Community Managers as we bring other properties online. This is a role with significant growth potential as we expand nationwide.
Responsibilities
- Delivering a positive experience throughout the sales process from contacting leads, giving in-person tours, following up, and renting the space.
- Engaging tenants, members, and coworkers in a fun, positive, and upbeat way.
- Provide outstanding customer service including assessing and resolving tenant problems effectively while protecting the interests of the business.
- Promote, establish, and maintain positive relations with tenants via regular proactive communication, meetings, and routine follow-up.
- Keep the facility interior and exterior clean and maintained by completing small tasks as a team and managing vendors for large and small projects.
- General management of the office including but not limited to opening and closing the office on time each day, handling petty cash, making daily bank deposits and preparing daily, weekly, and monthly reports as required by management.
- Maintains a neat, clean, safe and secure facility including minor cleaning, maintenance and daily lock checks.
- Control delinquency through telephone contact, letters, and notices on a scheduled basis including sending out monthly invoices and administering liens.
- Works closely with company team to report progress, oversee improvements, strategize new directions, and deliver feedback.
Compensation
$23 per hour + $500 signing bonus
Work Environment
Typical shift hours are between 8:30am-5:00pm and Monday-Friday. Community Managers often work in a small local team managing the property, but at times may also work alone. The role requires a mix of being seated at a computer/phone and moving around the property giving tours or completing tasks. Occasional light to heavy lifting is required. Should be comfortable working with vendors and managing projects.
We’ve built out a beautiful location, and the right Community Manager appreciates keeping it in clean order. Should be comfortable with proactively and professionally engaging with members, even issuing verbal warnings to enforce rule compliance.

Experience/Qualifications
- Customer service, retail sales, marketing, general office and telephone skills are all requirements for this position
- Prior commercial leasing experience preferred, but not required
- Prior property management experience preferred but not required
- Good organizational skills
- General office functions and experiences required
- Detail Oriented
