Position Information
- Masters degree in social science or related field.
- Five years experience in a university coordinating service learning and/or community engagement projects.
- Extensive experience (10+ years) with university-based community engagement in the Southeast Michigan region.
Pair students, faculty, and courses with Community Engaged Research and educational opportunities.
Provide training and consultation on developing Engaged Research opportunities to faculty and staff.
Identify and develop Community Engaged Research opportunities related to community economic development.
Identify and develop research related opportunities in areas related to manufacturing-based innovation acceleration.
Serve as representative for the OU Research Office at community meetings.
Lead effort to develop Oakland Counts and an effective tool for linking OU students and faculty to research opportunities with community based non profits.
Assistant faculty in developing center activities related to contract research and expert support for municipalities.
