American National seeks a Corporate Communications Specialist to play a pivotal role in shaping our brand image, reputation, and communication strategies both internally and externally. Requiring limited supervision, you will help establish and maintain transparent, effective, and engaging communication through a variety of channels in an effort to build trust, credibility and growth in the insurance and annuities sectors. Please note this is an in-office position in Galveston, TX, League City, TX, or Springfield, MO.
What Will You Do?
Develop and execute comprehensive corporate communication strategies to enhance the company's reputation and brand image.
Create and distribute internal and external communications materials including, but not limited to, press releases, newsletters, and employee experience promotional content.
Assist with crisis communication efforts, including drafting crisis response plans and coordinating communication during emergencies.
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure consistent messaging and alignment with corporate vision, mission, and values.
Analyze communication effectiveness through metrics and data analysis, making data-driven recommendations for improvement.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in communications, English, journalism, marketing, or a related field.
Minimum of five years of experience.
Strong emphasis in employee communication, internal company journalism or comparable work; proficiency in AP style.
