Job Purpose and Impact
The Communications Manager will support internal and external communications for our Cargill Agricultural Supply Chain (CASC) business in North America. In this role, you will work closely with the media relations, digital and social teams as well as internal and external partners and business leaders. You will collaborate with stakeholders around Cargill to support commercial growth, drive reputation and engage employees.
Key Accountabilities
- Work closely with our Cargill Agricultural Supply Chain (CASC) business partners to develop strategies in alignment with Cargill objectives to drive effective internal and external communications.
- Support effective communications with employees and other critical stakeholders internally and externally, driven by a robust editorial calendar and executed through a variety of paid, earned and owned channels.
- Drive collaboration between integrated teams from various communications teams and Center of Excellence (COEs) to build and implement the strategy.
- Lead, coordinate and execute internal communication campaigns from a content perspective across multiple channels to drive employee engagement and alignment around key business priorities.
- Provide customer facing teams with key messages and support around issues and key business initiatives, in partnership with marketing communications.
- Serve on issues management response teams alongside government relations, corporate responsibility and other global functions to handle the company's reputation and license to operate.
- Use global communications common tools, templates and processes to facilitate integrated communications across the company.
- Independently handle complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating only the most complex issues to appropriate staff.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
- Proficient skills in Microsoft Office
- Good understanding of communications channels and content development for those channels
- Minimum of four years of related work experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum of eight years of related work experience in communications
- Strong strategic planning skills to make connections among a wide variety of stakeholder groups
- Strong business acumen to effectively partner with stakeholders
- Extensive experience with a variety of communications strategies used within a global, matrixed organization
- Ability to motivate and guide employees who report indirectly
- Ability to translate complicated messaging into easily understood language
