We are seeking a skilled and dynamic Communications Coordinator to support our Communication Manager in executing communication strategies, managing social media accounts, drafting content, and coordinating internal and external communications while enhancing brand presence across all internal and external levels. The ideal candidate must possess the following qualifications:
- Proficient in graphic design software (Adobe Illustrator, Canva) to create visually compelling graphics and designs.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to assist in creating engaging content for various communication channels.
- Advanced skill level in computer applications such as Adobe and Microsoft Office, ensuring seamless document preparation and presentations.
- Familiarity with print and digital design standards, including file formatting and sizing, to ensure consistency and quality in ad placements, photo and logo submissions, and purchase of various branded products and print items.
- Must be able to think creatively and have an eye for design
- Must be organized and have the ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and have a keen attention to detail.
- Must be savvy in various social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, Google, and LinkedIn.
- Bilingual in Spanish and/or Creole a plus.
- Experience in event planning a plus.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in relevant communications field or Minimum of three years of relevant experience.
- Must have excellent editing skills, deep knowledge of AP style and ability to craft compelling stories for a variety of media.
- Must be able to demonstrate ability to communicate well with others and work independently under pressure to consistently achieve desired results.
- Must be able to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
As a Communications Coordinator, you will collaborate closely with the Communication Manager to enhance our brand presence through compelling visual materials and effective communication strategies. Your creativity, attention to detail, and excellent writing skills will be instrumental in creating impactful content that resonates with our target audience.
