Communication and Media Specialist
Families and Youth Innovation Plus is hiring a full-time Communication & Media Specialist
The Communications & Media Specialist is an entry role (agency specialist classification) that provides division and agency-wide contributions in the primary areas of: 1) Internal & External Communications, 2) Social Media & Brand Management, and 3) Marketing, Creative Media, & Storytelling.
Some of the specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Maintenance/primary contributor of social media accounts, management and oversight of Canva accounts, create/manage agency ID passes, management and oversight of Blinq account (business cards, email signatures, etc.), development of agency flyers, social media posts, and other print and digital marketing and outreach materials, as well as, agency visual communication tools. The position also plays a key role in the overall outreach and marketing strategy and functions of our agency. This full-time position requires in-person work and may occasionally require evening and weekend hours, as well as, travel.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide support for social media campaigns, media relations, and employee events to promote employee engagement and address business issues
- Stay current on emerging social media platforms, tools, and technologies on an ongoing basis
- Attend and actively participate in all assigned program, division, agency, and community meetings
- In collaboration with assigned supervisor, maintain and complete agency, contract, and other assigned reports in an accurate and timely manner
- Provide coordination and active contribution of social media and brand management efforts and content, including managing assigned social media accounts, channels, etc.
- Ensure that all photos and videos utilized in media, creative, and marketing materials development and distribution is done in an ethical manner that is consistent with agency policies around HIPAA, participant authorization forms, etc.
- Coordinate any assigned projects and initiatives as assigned by Director, Senior Director or Chief Executive Officer
- Performs other duties as directed by the Program Coordinator, Program Manager, Program Director, Senior Director and Chief Executive Officer
Qualifications and Experience
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Creative Media, or equivalent
- An equivalent combination of education and experience in managing communications, marketing, and creative media
- Adobe Creative Suite (Intermediate)
- Google Analytics (Intermediate)
- Social Media Platforms (Intermediate)
- Must maintain a full certification of the following trainings; CPR/First Aid and CPI
