Responsibilities
The Senior Risk Management Analyst supports implementation and maintenance of SCAH’s liability risk insurance program. Position gathers, evaluates, and analyzes underwriting data and participates in discussions regarding the effectiveness of the program and costs. This includes claims administration for various lines of liability insurance including Workers’ Compensation, General Liability, Professional Liability, and Property.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyzes insurance and claims data related to existing and target sites and makes recommendations accordingly.
- Ensures centers maintain insurance programs whether independent or enterprise coverage.
- Advises and/or assists home office and operations staff in conducting investigations of incidents.
- Develops and promotes loss prevention strategies throughout the enterprise to mitigate losses.
- Communicates with various external stakeholders including brokers and carriers to effectuate and audit SCAH’s risk liability insurance program.
- Coordinates with broker to develop and verify the risk insurance premium allocation.
Qualifications
- Property and Casualty insurance experience required.
- Must be able to communicate clearly and succinctly via written and oral communication with internal and external stakeholders including senior level management.
- Must be able to create an environment in which a positive and professional service orientation is evident to internal and external customers.
- Must be able to arrange schedules to meet the needs of the business to respond quickly to situations created by changes or unanticipated problems.
- Must be able to develop and maintain positive working relationships with coworkers, regulatory and operations staff and legal representatives. This includes the ability to remain calm and in control so that emotion can be appropriately expressed in conflict situations. This also includes being aware of and exemplifying SCA’s Mission, Vision, and Values.
- Possess strong organizational skills.
- Bachelor’s degree and 5-10 years’ experience in the liability insurance field required.
- Excellent computer skills including Word and Excel required. Ability to work with web-based claims management systems and prepare reports also required.
