Position Overview

The Commissioning Engineer is primarily responsible for the commissioning of large-scale battery storage projects. They will lead the commissioning of large-scale battery storage systems, including battery enclosures, inverters, transformers and EMS. They will lead a team of internal and 3rd-party engineers and technicians through the process of cold and hot commissioning of all system components including the performance testing at a system level.

This role requires frequent presence at the project site, but also extended periods of desk work to prepare procedures and complete reporting related to commissioning. Strong verbal and written skills are needed to select, qualify and train internal and external resources.

The ideal candidate will take ownership for all technical elements of project commissioning. This is an opportunity to contribute to the growth in North America and the expansion of the Project Engineering organization. This position reports to the Manager of Project Engineering.
