Based out of the Stow, Ohio office, this position reports directly to the Sr. Manager, Commercial Sales and will work collaboratively with Sales, Supply Chain, Finance, and IT.As an intern within the Commercial Sales Team, you'll support the refinement of sales support processes and forecasting models for the industrial and technical education markets.
You'll collaborate in a dynamic work environment to support the evolution of critical business processes that drive sales growth. This role will help evaluate and solve complex business problems using numerical and qualitative data and utilize technology to develop business solutions to improve daily operations and long-term strategy.WHAT YOU WILL DO* Define and document the current forecasting process and system capabilities* Work with cross-functional teams to create new forecasting processes and SOPs to support sales efforts while ensuring communication with supply chain and ultimately increasing in-stock availability and sales revenue* Evaluate historical sales data, future sales budgets, and market conditions to support the forecast model* Identify and execute opportunities for improvement, automation, and data management/analysis* Select and apply methods to summarize data, identify patterns, and make predictions* Design templates/databases, retrieve requested information, develop reports* A Rising Junior or Senior completing coursework in business, finance, data analytics, statistics, or other related discipline* Curious, process-oriented, and solution-focused* Experienced with advanced Excel functions (PowerBI or similar analytics tools)* Analytical, with the ability to identify data trends and document processes* Excellent written skills with the ability to compile information into unified reports* Technically adept with software and technology* Determined; tenacious and naturally optimistic* Willing and able to work on-site Tues/Wed/Thurs in Stow, OH at Matco Tools.(Monday & Friday are remote)#LI-AN1Matco Tools is a manufacturer and distributor of quality, professional-grade automotive equipment, tools, and toolboxes.
