CL Account ManagerSmall BusinessCommercial Lines
Location: Cleveland, OH
Salary: $60,000- $70,000 (Depending on experience and qualifications) + Bonus

Independent insurance agency is seeking a Commercial Lines Account Manager forSmall Business (BOP), in the central Cleveland area. The primary responsibilities for Commercial LinesAccount Manager include orders and issues binders, certificates, policies, auto id cards, endorsements, and other related items. Additionally, this position is responsible for servicing and retention of existing clients in the agency. The position requires a high degree of self-motivation, independent judgment, and customer service/phone skills to meet the business objectives.

Note: Must have an active P&C insurance license andexceptional customer service orientation.

The Account Manager (AM) must have solid product knowledge, familiar with Small Business commercial coverages (BOP) products offered by the Agency's carriers/wholesalers. The AM will be responsible for providing quote/bind/issuance of new business clients, completing carrier applications/supplemental coverage applications for quote and underwriting purposes. The AM is responsible for reviewing quotes and/or carrier underwriting decisions with all prospects/clients. In addition, the AM will provide on-going account management (new and renewal) and ensure the service objectives of the Agency and clients are achieved.

The AM is responsible for client satisfaction and overall service needs and making changes to existing accounts are being managed according to Agency Best Practices.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Work directly with clients to help them understand and determine their individual commercial line service needs.
  • Oversee and manage client business, including policy changes, applications, and report claims.
  • Ensure maximum client retention and generation through relationship building.
  • Take ownership of customer concerns and resolve or support stakeholders in correcting complex and/or difficult service situations.
  • Generate new business through acquisition of new customers and offering enhancements to existing customer coverages.
  • On-going establishment of relationships with carrier/wholesale broker underwriting and support personnel.
  • Ensure strong and open channels of communication and collaboration within the team and across all departments.
  • Account Management oversight of your book-of-business relative to the renewal process and marketing of accounts to insurance carriers and wholesalers as needed.
  • Development of on-going relationships with carrier underwriters.

Requirements:

· Active Property & Casualty Insurance License Required

  • College degree preferred, but not required.

· Minimum 3-5 years prior P&C insurance experience and demonstrate strong knowledge of insurance:

o BOP coverage and terms and conditions.

o Rating and binding experience.

o Underwriting procedures, policy quality assurance review.

o Commercial Lines coverages knowledge.

o Handling of endorsement, certificates, auto-id cards, and other client requests.

· Possess strong phone and written communication and problem-solving skills.

· Be people-oriented, customer-focused, and professionally assertive in developing new client relationships and servicing existing clients.

· Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and related software.

· Strong experience using AMS 360 Agency Management System

Requirements:
** Property & Casualty Insurance Ohio License Required **
* Experience with Commercial Lines and BOP policies
* Solid communication, negotiations and problem-solving skill sets
* Ability to carry out detailed written and verbal instructions
* Must be self-motivated, willingness to learn and require little supervision and direction
* Minimum 3-5 years Independent Agency experience
* Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and related software
* Experience using AMS 360 Agency Management System is strongly preferred.
* Possesses the ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment

Position: Full Time

Compensation:Salary + Bonus + Benefits (Health Insurance & Paid time off)

Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
