Summary: Play an integral Commercial Operations and marketing role at the Parsippany NJ headquarters for a growing and fast-paced plastics compounding and distribution company.
The Commercial Operations Assistant is a dynamic support role whose primary responsibility is to support the Commercial Operations team’s execution of the company’s sales strategy by managing and deploying critical product information (such as technical presentations, technical data sheets, safety data sheets, regulatory information, lead times, etc.) from our suppliers to our sales team. They will also be responsible for creating and managing monthly reporting that is critical to our communication with key suppliers on relevant commercial activity. They also help manage the sales pipeline, create sales tools to help our technical sales team and support the integration of our ERP system with our CRM. This position also serves as a support function for our marketing team in their promotion of the company marketing strategy via website, social media and print.
Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities
- Build & schedule reports through ERP system for Profitability analysis, sales history, supplier reporting and sales campaign dashboards.
- Setup Vendor Trainings
- Assist in support of sales team-Info lookups, trade shows, lead management, data inputting.
- Manage Supplier Portal, Datasheet Center & Product Sales Aid (PSA)
- Assist with Salesforce CRM Administration
- Assist in managing day-to-day administrative tasks related to Commercial Operations.
- Maintain and update customer databases and sales records.
- Assist in the execution of marketing campaigns and promotional activities.
- Generate reports and analyze data to provide insights for decision-making.
- Assist in the organization of events, trade shows, and other promotional activities.
- Stay updated on industry trends and market conditions to support strategic decision-making.
- Assist admin and shipping functions for trade shows.
- Ad hoc commercial administrative projects.
Commercial ops experience a must. Salesforce and plastics industry experience a plus.
Other Job Duties: Responsibility and scope of task may grow over time to include other commercial and marketing needs.
