Rocket is seeking a new functional lead to join our commercial department as a member of the extended leadership team. The Associate Director of Field Operations will support our commercial and medical affairs field teams with their systems, operational, logistical, and database needs. The position will work closely with cross-functional partners throughout the organization and will be essential for the success of our numerous near-term launches.
- Compliantly support key customer facing functions such as early commercialization planning, Medical Affairs, Value & Access, Communications, Business Insights and Analytics, Finance, and Business Operations support.
- Proactively establish strong relationships with key internal business partners to understand their needs and gain alignment to execute core workstreams.
- Manage the field operations budget, including negotiating contracts with vendors and monitoring vendor performance. May include getting NDAs, contracts and payment in place for Advisory Board Meetings and other meetings that involve working with external advisors.
- Build and maintain performance dashboards to monitor performance and KPIs (using PowerBI in partnership with Business Insights and Analysis team) including trends incorporating market and HCP insights to support decision-making. May also include dashboard development for Medical Affairs.
- Responsible for monitoring the field sales team incentive programs in alignment with corporate objectives.
- Responsible for the development and monitoring of SOPs (including development of HIPAA policy) and work instructions for field operations systems (CRM, PowerBI, Concur, etc…) for the field sales team.
- Support first-line managers and their teams to ensure operational excellence.
- Responsible for maintaining relevant commercial applications, platforms, and systems.
- Develop and drive Best in Class operational improvements in the early commercialization function and key workstreams.
- Drive/participate in business strategy and budget planning discussions.
Identify potential operational improvements, providing change management support to transformation efforts.
- Bachelor’s degree with concentration in Information Systems, business, or related field
- 12 years of progressive operations experience in the pharma/biotech industry with experience in data management processes and platforms, business intelligence software, and data warehouse platforms
- Experience in an organization entering commercial phase a plus
- Demonstrated direct and indirect leadership experience
- Experience supporting commercial, medical affairs, finance and other non-commercial applications
- Advanced understanding of Master Data Management architecture and Best Practices
- Experience with Specialty Pharmacy/Distributor data and/or IQVIA/Symphony datasets
- Working knowledge of Business applications, languages, operation systems and utilities: SQL, Access, Excel, VBA, Tableau, Power BI, Qlik, Veeva CRM, Salesforce, Veeva Vault, Microsoft Office, Windows Server, Command line scripting, sFTP and Apple IOs
- Some Project Management experience
- Self-Starter with the ability to perform in a cross-functional role and handle multiple tasks
- Ability to lead projects from initiation to completion with some direction
