Job Title: Commercial Lines Customer Service Representative

Summary:
Assisting Producers and other Account Executives and Account Managers in the Commercial Lines Department.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
General
- Thoroughly evaluate accounts to determine what carriers can provide quotes for class of business.
- Quote on line for small business or prepare risk for master marketing.
- Prepare/Finalize proposals within our agency management system.
- Review loss data.
- Be able to communicate with our underwriters on pricing needs
- Evaluate applications to ensure completion and review missing materials with clients.
- Accurately enter data into computer systems.
- Prepare insurance quotes and proposals, collect information for quoting.
Quoting New Business or Renewals
- Quoting on line: Processing new business quotes from other Account Executives, Producers, or direct from the insured.
- Working with Account Executives/Producers/Insured’s on new business or renewal quotes. The process involves issuing change quoting on line with our carriers, preparing proposals within our agency management system, and sending them to the Account Executives/Producers or directly to the Insured.
- Checking the policies against what was quoted the carrier for accuracy.
- Billing the policies in our agency management system, if required.
Issuing Certificates of Insurance
- Processing certificate requests from Account Executives, Producers or direct from the insured.
- Sending copies to the appropriate parties (insured, and certificate holder and carrier if required) either by mail or email and attaching into our management system.
- Working with Account Executives/Producers/Insured’s on renewal certificates.

- Processing Endorsements
- Processing requests from other Account Executives, Producers or direct from the insured.
- Working with Account Executives/Producers/Insured’s on changes that need to be made to the current policy which could be anything from adding a new building to changing a loss payee on the policy. The process involves issuing change requests within our agency management system, sending the change request to the insurance carrier and following up with the carrier to make sure the change is done in a reasonable amount of time.
- Checking the endorsement when it is received from the carrier for accuracy.
- Billing the endorsement in our agency management system, if required.
- Part of the endorsements could also include audits which takes the same process as most endorsements.
- Sending the endorsement to the insured, either by mail, email, or fax.
Binders
- Processing requests from other Account Executives, Producers or direct from the insured.
- Working with Account Executives/Producers/Insured’s on which coverages are to be bound, what carrier to bind them with, what effective date to use.
- Sometimes this process will include obtaining signed applications, affidavits, down payments, issuing finance agreements, issued auto ID cards and other miscellaneous items that may need to be done as a condition of the quote.
- Bill the renewal policy or the new policy in our agency management system. We bill both agency bill polices and direct bill policies. If the account is set up on agency bill, we need to include the invoice when we send out the binder.
- Issuing the actual binder and sending to the insured, and carrier either by mail, email, or fax.
- Following up with the carrier for the issued policy.
Policy Review
- Review a new policy or a renewal policy. Cross check the policy with either the expiring renewal or the proposal.
- Advising the Account Executives/Producers/Insured’s if there are any errors with the issued policy and requesting the corrections from the carrier and following up with the carrier for the corrections.
- Update the policy information in our agency management system. Invoice all agency bill policies. If the account is set up on agency bill, we need to include the invoice when we send out the if we did not send out with the binder.
- Bill the renewal policy or the new policy in our agency management system.
New Account Set Up
- Setting up new business accounts in our agency management system and updating accord applications and supplemental applications.
- Completing contact information, name, title, phone, fax, email address etc., in our agency management system. Set up physical file with label & include policy underwriting information.

Education and Experience:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- 3-5 years of experience with Commercial Lines business.
- Property and Casualty insurance license.
- Professional designations are a plus.
Location: Remote.
Work Status: Remote after training.
Schedule: 8:15am – 5:00pm.

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
