Job Description
Our company is looking to hire a Commercial HVAC technician to troubleshoot, maintain and repair HVAC systems. Technician must have 5 years of HVAC Technician Service experience as well as an EPA certification. The position is full-time and offers many great benefits and room for growth within the organization.
We are seeking a Commercial HVAC Service technician who is interested in finding a team where they can further develop their skills and help lead a growing team with an excellent customer base.
What You'll Do:
- Perform routine repairs to pump seals, bearing, etc.
- Inspect and test systems to verify system compliance with plans and specifications or to detect and locate malfunctions
- Determine customer concerns with HVAC and boiler systems
- Follow standards, policies, and procedures, including safety procedures and the maintenance of a clean work area
- Record and report faults, deficiencies, and other unusual occurrences, as well as the time and materials expended on work orders
- Adjust system controls to setting recommended by manufacturer to balance system
- Recommend, develop, or perform maintenance procedures such as cleaning, power-washing, or vacuuming equipment, lubricate parts, or changing filters
- Install auxiliary components to heating-cooling equipment, such as expansion and discharge valves, air ducts, pipes, blowers, dampers, flues, and stokers, following blueprints
- Study blueprints, design specifications, and manufacturers' recommendations to ascertain the configuration of heating or cooling equipment components and to ensure the proper installation of components
- Fabricate, assemble, or install duct work or chassis parts, using portable metal-working tools or welding equipment
- Other duties as assigned
Position Requirements:
- 5+ years of commercial HVAC maintenance experience
- Universally EPA Certified
- Ability to troubleshoot HVAC components with built up systems and package units, which may include chiller air handler pump towers, cooling towers, control systems, boilers and air handling systems
- Demonstrated refrigeration and controls experience
- Ability to learn commercial expertise in boilers, chillers, pneumatic controls, digital controls and packaged HVAC equipment
- Ability to work as part of a team with a strong sense of teamwork. Highly motivated.
- Ability to read electronic schematics
- Ability to lift 70 pounds
- High School diploma/GED required + equivalent work experience
