Collision Estimator Or Customer Service Representative

Position Description

K & M Collision is seeking an estimator/Customer Service Representative to join our team. This 4-day work week position will involve supporting our certified repair team in all aspects. Responsibilities

Clear and Concise Communication for Customers, Create repair estimates for collision damaged vehicles that arrive for repair (Technical estimating, no sales estimating).  Build Repair Plans in accordance with OEM specific repair procedures. Document all damages requiring repair or parts replacement with photos.  Direct disassembly technicians as to the pace and scope of disassembly to expose all damages up front.  Aid in ordering all replacement parts.  Monitor parts delivery.  Consult with technicians to perform repair attempts where Repair Vs Replace is not clear.  Manage Time in order to meet daily requirement of fully Blueprinted vehicles.  Assist CSR's with updates on customer vehicle progress. Assist with vehicle deliveries

Requirements

5+ years of automotive collision damage estimating experience .  Excellent verbal and written communication skills  I-CAR certification preferred  Proficient with Computers, as well as CCC, Audatex, or Mitchell Estimating Software  Excellent Customer Service skills  Automotive knowledge/background  Excellent Prior work references  Willingness to be cross trained in career advancing management roles as needed  Must be 18 years or older

· Valid Driver’s License and a good driving record, preferred.

Day range:

• Monday to Thursday
• No weekends

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Hickory, NC: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

License/Certification:

• Driver's License (Preferred)

Physical Requirements / Working Conditions: Position is based in a normal shop environment. Occasional physical activity such as reaching below and above shoulder level, kneeling, bending, squatting and stooping to inspect repairs, and lifting and carrying objects over 50 lbs. Exposure to fumes, chemicals, dust, along with high levels of noise. Subject to weather conditions both inside and outside. Required to wear protective equipment when necessary. Occasional sedentary work. Must have visual acuity to determine the accuracy and thoroughness of the work assigned.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $45,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
