Collision Repair Estimator - Essential Duties
- Examine damaged vehicle to determine extent of structural, body, mechanical or interior damage.
- Estimate cost of labor and parts to repair or replace each damaged item using technology provided.
- Reviews repair cost estimates with body shop manager.
- Determines feasibility of repair versus replacement of parts, such as bumpers, fenders and doors.
- Communicate estimate with customer and/or insurance company
- Prepare forms to indicate repair cost estimates and recommendations.
- Collect payment for repairs
- Other tasks as assigned.
