Phoenix-based SRP, the nation's third-largest public power and water utility, is recruiting a technical college student intern to be a member of its HR Operations Team.
This unique student intern position of providing Human Resources Information System (HRIS) technical support will present opportunity to learn valuable technical skills, gain hands-on experience through intentional learning objectives, and personal development in leveraging job skill attainment.
We are looking for a highly motivated student with great technical aptitude and eagerness to learn.
- System administration tasks for several HR cloud applications
- ServiceNow admin, knowledge management and reporting
- Provide excellent customer service to HR and non-HR customers
- Performing operational tasks
- Problem solving
Desired Knowledge & Skills:
- Knowledge of PC (Windows and/or Linux)
- Knowledge of client/server and cloud application systems
- Knowledge of database structure and functionality
- Knowledge of computer infrastructure
Eligibility/Pay Structure/Hours:
- To be eligible for the Student Intern Program at SRP, the employee must be actively enrolled in a minimum of six (6) credit hours that are college level (100) or above over the course of a regular semester and must be working towards a degree from an accredited college or university.
- For an accelerated program, the student must be enrolled in six credit hours in the equivalent of a traditional semester.
- This is a paid opportunity for a student working a minimum of 15 hours per week. However, work hours and schedules may fluctuate based on departmental needs.
- Pay rate is $18.75 per hour for an undergraduate intern and $20.80 per hour for a graduate intern.
Selected candidate should be enrolled in college, preferably in an IT-related or Business curriculum and have completed coursework to develop skills appropriate for the assignment.
Hybrid Workplace
SRP currently offers a hybrid workplace, which allows employees whose jobs can be performed remotely, and who have sufficient technical capability, to telework up to three days per week. Although teleworking is available, all employees must live and work in Arizona. We are taking steps to protect the health and well-being of all team members, and by following a number of health and safety protocols, to reduce the risk of the coronavirus (COVID-19).
