Duties and Responsibilities: Provide coaching services by one-on-one College and Career Coaching sessions to student participants who are identified by the Career Compass Project manager.
Assist students with transitioning to a college environment.
Lead summer workshops, tours, and orientations for student participants.
Meet with student participants during their senior year of high school, over the summer, and at least twice each semester once the student is enrolled in college.
Monitor student progress in classes monthly and proactively provide intervention and resources to students as needed.
Participate in Beyond Graduation training, conducted by Career Compass.
Obtain FERPA waivers to release information to Career Compass.
Update database with relevant student data and complete monthly progress reports within a prescribed timeframe.
Develop ongoing, sustained relationships with students.
Develop and maintain a complete understanding of each student's unique situation, background, and needs.
Travel to high schools as needed to meet with student participants.
Other duties as deemed necessary.

Required Education: Bachelor's degree

Required Experience: One year experience working with students in a K-12 school, college, university or other similar setting.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Proficiency in the use of standard office equipment and networked personal computers.
Proficiency in or ability to become proficient in a variety of software, including but not limited to Microsoft Office.
Oral and written communication skills.
Ability to perform basic mathematical computations needed to complete job tasks.
Skilled at planning, organizing, and prioritizing job duties to meet deadlines.
Maintaining interpersonal professional working relationships at all levels - students, peers, and Executives.

Preferred Education: Bachelor's degree in education, social work, public relations, or guidance counseling.
