Position: - Cohesity Technical Consultant

Location: - NYC Metro area (Mostly remote but would require occasional onsite)

Duration: - 1+ Year contract

REQUIRED SKILLS:

Physical Servers: (Vendor, Model) HPE ProLiant DL360 & DL380

Virtual Software: (i.e. VMware, Hyper-V) VMWare vSphere 6&7

Operating Systems: RHEL, ESXi, Proprietary software appliance provided by the backup vendors

Cluster Software: vSphere

Storage: (Vendor, Model) VMWare vSAN hyperconverged, Cohesity, Rubrik

Storage Management Tools: vRealize Suite, Cohesity/Rubrik Management Tools

Must be able to deploy the Cohesity environment from ground up, including design skills and experience

CLI Scripting: (i.e. Python, Perl) Python & Ansible

SAN (protocols, SAN Switches) N/A

Cloud: Client Private Cloud Only (VMWare)

Other: Enterprise storage, VMWare virtualization, Cohesity/Rubrik backup solutions, Dell EMC Data Protection Advisor, networking, technical documentation

REQUIRED TASKS:

Day-to-day activities

(Infrastructure Design Phase)

Storage platform administration:

Rack/stack hardware (if available onsite)

Assist with setup of VMWare clusters

Setup backup infrastructure

Integrate backup product with existing management tools

Performance benchmarking

Perform necessary testing & validation

Assist with security review with Global Information Security (GIS)

Storage management tools:

vRealize Suite, Cohesity/Rubrik Management Tools

Storage capacity planning:

Document the design and best practices for capacity planning team

Storage Performance and Capacity monitoring:

Help integrate the solution with existing backup monitoring and reporting tools

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $55.00 - $65.00 per hour
