Come join our team and provide the highest quality of service to our clients and partners! We are currently seeking a dedicated, self-motivated, and experienced Coding Manager to join the team. The Coding Manager will report to the Director of Coding, and is responsible for ensuring successful management of multiple client accounts. This role travels to visit clients, oversees remote teams and has strong analytical data skills. The opportunity to grow and take on additional responsibilities over time are abundant.
- Oversee and streamline coding processes, including quality control and production of the coding team members.
- Establish, implement and maintain a formalized review process for coding compliance, including a formal review (audit) process; design and use audit tools to monitor the accuracy of clinical coding.
- Work Closely with the Director to lead US and offshore Coding Teams and all coding activities.
- Work closely with clients and revenue cycle teams, and others to ensure complete and accurate information and optimal reimbursement based on coding and abstracting of medical records.
- Provide excellent public relations and courteous customer service; establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with others including physicians, nurses, administrators, managers, vendors, contractors and other healthcare industry personnel.
- Travel to meet with clients, potential clients, and team members.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Required Experience and Qualifications
- Knowledge of medical (inpatient and outpatient) coding.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy and physiology, a basic knowledge of clinical procedures and diseases, understanding of clinical documentation (such as medical or surgical reports and patient charts).
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
- Maintain strict confidentiality, adhering to all HIPAA guidelines / regulations.
- Ability to work without supervision and communicate effectively with your remote team members.
