Pay Range
Pay Range: $ 15.00 - $ 25.96 Hourly
The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation for this job. Individual annual salaries/hourly rates will be set within the job's compensation range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations.

Responsibilities
Double-block position.
LLE seeks self-motivated co-op student Linux systems administrator(s) with a strong interest in cybersecurity and machine learning with an eye towards big data techniques. In this position, the candidate will:
- securely deploy the open source ELK stack (Elasticsearch, Kibana / OpenSearch Dashboards, Beats, and Logstash) using dev ops techniques
- build tools and configurations to allow authorized users access to specific log data
- build tools and configurations to allow security and systems researchers to receive sanitized and anonymized logs in near real-time
- with data extraction, transformation, and loading concepts and practices
- using Linux from the command line without GUIs
- with basic TCP/IP networking concepts
- writing scripts in bash or Python
- reading and debugging Java, Python, and JavaScript code
- presenting issues to peers and managers
- using git, gitlab, and other development and collaborative tools
- interacting with vendors and users
- working with a team
