Candidate will work on various projects in supporting traders and can include trade management, analytics, desktop applications as well as dealing with various fixed income related market data. Candidate should also possess in depth knowledge of data warehousing and dealing with large databases
.
Responsibilities include:
Interfacing with traders
Define technical requirements in response to traders' business needs
Interface with various support groups such as Operations and Finance teams
Identify solutions to various needs
Possess good analytical skills
In-depth knowledge of dealing with large datasets as well as strong SQL background
Ability to interface with various IT teams such as DBAs, Admins, and Infrastructure teams
Work Experience and Knowledge Required:
5-8 years of demonstrated experience supporting preferable in fixed income products
Demonstrate experience in application implementation methodology, in all phases of project lifecycle such as specifications, development, testing, implementation and ongoing support
Working in a fast paced environment, with tight deadlines, and ability to prioritize work to meet timelines.
Experience in a fast paced Front Office environment.
In-depth knowledge of large databases with heavy SQL experience
Extensive knowledge of object oriented programing
Knowledge of Java, .NET C# and some C++
Able to support Windows as well as Linux/Unix environments
Experience with scripting such as Perl, Python and VB scripting
Other experience that is nice to have but not required; Polypaths, fixed income products, mortgages, Agencies and Non-Agencies, related data such as Intex, Corelogic, eMBS
Excellent communication skills, able to communicate with traders
Experience required: Database, SQL Server, Sybase/ Oracle. Object Oriented Programming. Windows as well as Unix/Linux support
