Job Description
A manufacturing company is seeking a machinist to operate manual and CNC machines to produce parts for use in product lines. This is an immediate, full-time opportunity working Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Job Responsibilities:
- Set-up and operate lathes, mills, drill press, vertical, and horizontal cut-off saws
- Perform minor programming edits on CNC Machines
- Review drawings, specifications, and prints for accuracy and applicability
- Make accurate tooling adjustments, perform test operations, and produce parts
- Maintain operation of machine equipment and perform routine machine maintenance
- Fabricate steel and plastic parts to specification
- Assist with assembling parts and equipment as necessary
- Keep all work area clean and organized
- Document time and material when producing parts
- Follow all safety policies
Job Qualifications:
- Must have a High School Diploma or GED; Additional technical training is a plus
- Must have 1 to 3 years manufacturing experience
- Must have the ability to read, interpret, and follow drawings, blueprints, specifications, and schematics
- Experience with HAAS equipment/machine interface is a plus
- Must be able to learn job-related material
- Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic is required
- Must have the ability to accurately read measuring equipment and use basic hand and power tools
- The ability to prioritize multiple projects is needed
- Must have a strong work ethic with no attendance issues
- Must be able to keep work area clean and organized and follow all safety policies
- Must be comfortable standing for extended periods of time
