Shift: Monday - Friday 1st shift 6:30am to 3pm
ROLE PURPOSE:
Set-up and operate manual mills, lathes, cut off saw, and related equipment in the fabrication of machine parts.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
· Fabricates a variety of parts through the set-up and operation of lathes, milling machines, drill presses, saw and similar equipment, inspecting work carefully by following the inspection sheets provided for each plant.
· Able to use a variety of precision measuring instruments such as indicators, micrometers, gauges, and venires. Calculate dimensions and tolerances using knowledge of mathematics.
· Work form blueprints, drawings, verbal and/or written instructions to make needed parts. Able to determine methods and sequences of operations needed to make needed parts. Calculate dimensions and tolerances using knowledge of mathematics.
· Inspect your parts to ensure conformance to specifications on drawings. Follow our inspection process using inspection sheets provided for each job.
· Perform similar and related duties as assigned by supervisor and/or group leader.
QUALIFICATIONS:
· High School Graduate or equivalent.
· Minimum of 2 years prior related work experience in a manufacturing environment.
· Able to use prints and precision measuring instruments.
· Knowledge of machine shop practices, operations, and working qualities equivalent to 2 years of trades school/training.
· CNC experience a plus.
· Team player, solution focused, takes a positive approach.
