Position Summary:
The CNC Programmer will be responsible for implementing machining strategies that drive shop floor efficiency and quality. Creativity, coupled with acute attention to detail, and a willingness to guide CNC Operators will be keys to success. This position is an integral member of Operations team and is expected to provide high quality, first pass yield tool paths, and shop floor documentation. The individual will also be expected to contribute to the departments Continuous Improvement activities and help guide our efforts to create a future factory.
Key Responsibilities:
- (Offline) CNC programming for 3-5 axis mills. 2D and 3D surface milling is required.
- (Offline) CNC programming for Lathes
- Design work-holding fixtures
- Lead new technology adoption and implementation.
- Drive CNC programming and machining efficiency by developing and deploying best practices.
- Support shop floor setups and knowledge transfer
- Create documentation for the shop floor including tooling lists and setup sheets.
- Training to other team members.
- Observe Fathom quality and safety procedures.
- Maintain clean and safe working environment.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- High School Diploma or General Education (GED) required.
- 5 years minimum experience CNC programming
- 5 years minimum experience setting up and running CNC machines
- Demonstrated ability to program using MasterCam software is required.
- The ability to read blueprints and execute shop math.
- Complete work in an accurate and timely manner.
- Ability to work weekends and overtime as required.
- Proficient understanding of G-code
- Proficient understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong work ethic and high attention to detail
- Flexible, ability to work in a fast-pace team environment
- Able to manage sensitive and sometimes confidential information.
- Self-motivated and able to take responsibility.
- Associate degree in a relevant field and/or other technical certification (Preferred).
- Ability to program mill-turn or live spindle lathes (Preferred)
Hours: 5:00a.m. - 3:30p.m. M-TH
