Cnc Programmer

This company specializes in the design, testing, and manufacturing of composite rotor blades for helicopters. In this CNC Programmer role, you will be responsible for a wide range of functions to support the prototyping, testing and production of critical components and parts for their customers. This is a role where you will not only be writing and testing programs but also working closely with the shop floor to support the work and get hands on with the work.

CNC Programmer Responsibilities:  

• Develop, test and document CNC machining programs (primarily in NX) to create prototype and production tooling, fixtures and parts.  

• Use precision measurement equipment and methods to inspect work in process and at completion 

• Determine cutting or grinding tools to be used, method of holding, machine speeds and tool sheets 

• Create the process documentation required for production on 3 and 4 axis CNC mills and lathes 

• Work out on shop floor to coordinate with manufacturing engineers and other machinists to determine what needs to be done to support the work 

You will be successful in this role if you are a self starter thats likes to solve challenging machining, programming and fabricating problems to provide the best quality products for customers!  

Schedule: Monday – Friday 7:30am-4:00pm  

CNC Programmer Requirements: 

• 7+ years CNC/manual machining experience  

• 5+ years of CNC programming experience (setup, operation & troubleshooting)  

• Working knowledge of metalworking, fabrication and/or welding 

• Experience working with and programming for 3-axis and 4-axis CNC machines 

• Experience with NX, SolidCAM or MasterCAM 

Compensation: $28 - $34/hr
