First shift- 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM

Job Summary
Implement the Production Fulfillment Process steps related to the fabrication of parts according to work order and customer requirements. Ensures machinery is set up, works properly, and conforms with (and can produce materials that conform with) company quality, quantity, and efficiency standards. Second of Four levels of CNC machining center operators.
Beginning to set up, adjust and identify programming, and operate numerically controlled machine tools to perform a series of progressive machining operations on repetitive work to close tolerances and finish specifications requiring considerable skill. Works from programming instructions, operational data and machine setup instructions defining and coding tool arrangements, material clamping methods, machine calibrations and console settings, for
Production operations such as mill, drill, face, thread and occasional profiling and contouring. Operators may run more than one machine simultaneously.
Essential Job Functions
- Operate multiple types of fabrication equipment:
o Operates tools according to instructions, specifications, and standard charts.
o Places and secures work pieces in proper machine table, holding device, or other appropriate surface using clamps and wrenches.
o Load, operate and manufacture a variety of parts using CNC machining centers to make custom parts according to customer orders and instructions
o Follow written instructions from internal and external customers and interpret basic to intermediate blueprint specifications
o Perform work independently with minimal defects
o Basic recognition of tooling and procedures within established tolerances
o Complete work order paperwork
o Checks parts for conformance to customer specifications.
o Maintain count and perform packaging duties as required
o Participate in cross training activities to become knowledgeable of equipment/process within the department
o Perform routine daily machine maintenance including cleaning up and lubrication
o Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Provide guidance, feedback and positive behavior modeling The Company culture of care:

Qualifications and Competencies
- Requires knowledge of machining techniques and methods
- Familiarity with computer numerically controlled machine tool operating procedures
- Communicate with supervisor on work order priority
- Open to change due to emergency orders or fabrication of parts
- Basic to intermediate math skills and/or aptitudes
- Ability to use basic measuring instruments
- Excellent problem solving skills
- Must be able to work overtime as needed
Education and Experience
- 2+ years of experience, or equivalent
- A High School Diploma or GED with prior hands on, vocational or job-related course work/training, or any similar combination of education and experience is required. Prior experience in a manufacturing industry is preferred
Physical Requirements
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is may be required to sit and reach with hands and arms. The employee is regularly required to stand; walk and use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 40 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment
The work environment is typical of most shop environments; not climate controlled and subject to outdoor weather conditions. Team members are exposed to sounds and noise levels that are distracting.
