CNC Mill Set-up and Operator

Responsible for setting up CNC HAAS Mills, to fabricate parts, loads parts, cycles machine and detect malfunctions in machine operations such as worn or damaged cutting tools. The position runs short lots (1 to 100 pcs). Ability to communicate with co-workers regarding production runs, and maintain a safe, organized and clean work environment.

Essential Functions

• Performs all assigned machine shop operations.
• Detects and reports defective materials or questionable conditions to management or designee.
• Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean, orderly condition and follows prescribed safety procedures.
• Regularly performs milling, turning, drilling, tapping, de-burring, sawing and sanding tasks.
• Performs inspection of machined products, and documents results.
• Completes and maintains paperwork for parts.

Work Environment

Job shop, short runs requiring a lot of set ups, operating, and inspecting parts. This is a fast-paced job with a small shop atmosphere.

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

The position requires frequent lifting, pushing and pulling objects that are under 10 lbs, and occasionally 30 pounds or heavier.

Minimum Requirements

• High School diploma or graduation from a certified technical school.
• 2 years CNC HAAS Mill Set up experience minimum.
• Must be able to read gauges.
• Must be able to read prints.
• Knowledge of CNC mill/lathe tooling.

Preferred Qualifications

• Programming experience
• Lathe experience
• Trouble shooting experience

Salary: $19.00 - $23.00 per hour
