Job Description
Summary
As team operator for the computerized numeric control (CNC) department; operate CNC lathes, machines; read blueprints; inspect parts for quality control; maintain a clean and orderly working environment in the machine shop area.
Primary Responsibilities
- Edit Programs and set up CNC lathes / Mills
- Operate CNC lathes / Mills
- Read blueprints
- Inspect parts for quality control
- Use the Epicor inventory system to follow the CNC work order menu and/or edit the CNC work order in the system
- Maintain machine shop equipment
- Maintain an clean working environment in the machine shop area
- Participate in department and company meetings
- Comply with company's business and human resources policies; work rules; safety, OSHA and MIOSHA requirements; quality standards; standard operating procedures; requirements and applicable local, State, and Federal regulations
- Perform other related duties as needed and assigned
Skills and Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- 2 years of specialized technical, or trade school in this or a related area of study (knowledge normally acquired through a journeyman / associates / or other 2-year program)
- 3 years of related experience
Salary range
- $20/hr to $26/hr
- The 2nds shift premium is $1.5/hr
- All machinists are eligible for the quarterly bonus in the month following the month they are hired. The bonus is based on quality, delivery and safety metrics with a max of $565 per quarter.
Shifts
- 1st Shift 6:00 am – 4:30 pm M-TH
- 2nd shift 4:00 pm – 2:30 am M-TH
