Job Description
Basic Purpose
Our client in Southwest Houston is looking for a Machinist to assist with operating and maintaining their CNC machine for their production department.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Must be detail oriented and able to effectively multitask across machines to ensure product standards are met
- Must be able to perform in-process inspections, set up machining platform, troubleshoot process issues, and perform routine & preventative maintenance on machines
- Must be able to interpret basic engineering drawings and process sheets and communicate effectively in common manufacturing terms
- Ensures all quality and production records are correct and recorded in a timely manner.
- Provide guidance to machinists and entry level machinist ranging from basic to intermediate methodologies and practice
- Actively support a clean and safe work environment and 5S disciplines
- Assist in continuous improvement efforts
- Comply with all Quality System procedures and regulations
- Performs additional duties and assignments as required by management
Education/Training/Work Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 3-10 years hands-on experience in a CNC machining environment, manual machining experience desired
- Understands the basics of CNC machining methodology
Type of Assignment: Temp-Hire
Schedule: 2nd shift, Monday - Friday 4 PM - 2:30 AM with OT as needed
