Machinist Job Responsibilities:
- Operates and maintains horizontal manual lathe, CNC and vertical milling machines by following 2-D drawings
- Does in-process inspection by measuring manufactured parts to ensure the quality and discards defects if needed
- Sets the machines for given jobs
- Monitors production, adjusting feed and other settings as necessary (by using bar feeder)
- Maintains inventory of machining & milling tools that are needed for the machines
- Identifies need for and performs machine maintenance and minor repairs.
- Maintains a safe and clean workstation.
