As the CNC Machinist you would be responsible for setup, programming, operating, and performing operational maintenance on CNC machines and machining centers.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Setup and operation of 4 axis mills, machining centers, 2 axis lathes, and 4 axis lathes with live tooling.
- Load program and perform minor program edits using FANUC, Brother or Okuma controls.
- Read and understand blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, specifications, or sample part.
- Program machine to determine cutting tools, speed, feed, and depth of cut necessary.
- Inspect and measure finished products to verify conformance to specifications, tolerances, and dimensions.
- Select, align, and secure work holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials on machines.
- May cut own raw material stock.
- Resolve machining problems by consulting with supervisors, quality personnel, or production personnel.
- Deburr and remove sharp edges from machined parts.
- Perform general operational and routine maintenance work on machine and tools.
- Record time on labor/production sheets for machining process efficiently.
Pay and Shift info
- Starting pay is based on experience, typically $22-$28/hour
- 1 st shift, 6am-3:30pm
- Direct Hire opportunity with the company.
Skills/Qualifications
- 3 years or more experience in CNC Machining, including setup, operation and programming of CNC machines.
- High School Diploma or GED. Certificate or Journeyman card a plus.
