Description:

The Junior Data Analyst’s role is responsible for creating, administering, and troubleshooting computer databases that can process large amounts of information and keep it secure. Assist in building, deploying, and maintaining data support tools, metadata inventories, and definitions for database file / table / report creation. This includes collecting data, analyzing the data, designing algorithms, drawing flowcharts, and implementing code for the logic developed through the algorithms and flowcharts. Performance testing procedures to ensure the proper operations of a database and to ensure that it’s error-free. Write documentation about the system and put together an operational manual. The documentation must include information regarding changes or improvements to the database as they are implemented.

PROVIDE ENHANCED CLIENT SERVICE

Respond to and provide first contact support of incoming requests and ensure courteous, timely, and effective resolution of end-user needs. In conjunction with data owners, team leaders, and other subject matter experts, develop effective data models, protocols, and processes for using enterprise information assets. Assist in prioritization and development of data management policies, procedures, and documentation.

FOSTER OUR CULTURE

Collaborate with co-workers on projects and other internal customer needs as appropriate. Communicate application problems and issues to key stakeholders, end users, and leadership as needed. Seek opportunities to support volunteerism in the local community’s awareness events, increase the Bank’s outreach and foster new community connections.

PROMOTE DIGITAL AWARENESS

Works with numerous technologies across the Banks business units to document the access methodologies and diagram the data transfer paths and process workflows. Utilizes various information security software packages to conduct risk assessments and to evaluate and measure Bank-wide information technology risk.

SEEK PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT OPPORTUNITIES

Expand technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies around applicable business systems and applications. Requirements:

QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION, & EXPERIENCE

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job requirement satisfactorily and a skills inventory is listed below. College degree or advanced education in the field of computer science, management of information systems, or related field or equivalent experience. Strong proficiency in Microsoft SQL Server with a minimum of 2 years hands-on experience. Successful completion of required background checks is required. LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read, comprehend, and interpret documents. Possesses professional communication and interpersonal skills to write and speak effectively both one-on-one and before groups of clients or employees of the organization. Ability to communicate to clients directly and effectively.

TECHNOLOGY SKILLS: Ability to use telephone systems and possess good computer skills including email, internet and intranet use. Knowledge of ETL processes and best practices. Proficiency in C# and .NET development. Developing and maintaining web applications. Understanding of Secure DevOps practices and methodologies. Familiarity with Cloud technologies. Project management experience. Ability to present technical ideas in user-friendly language.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to solve challenging problems involving several variables in a standardized situation.

This position operates in a professional office environment with considerable time spent at a desk using office equipment such as computers, phones, and printers. Noise level is moderate with constant communication and interactions with others. Ability to travel on occasion to all market areas and attend seminars or training sessions offsite.
