We are seeking CNAs to come grow with us as we have a residential crisis stabilization program (4 beds only) and we would like for you to join our team of professionals!!!
The CNA (Residential Aide) responsible for supporting the duties of the QMHP-A staff who are providing direct supports to each individual. The CNA will work cooperatively with the QMHP-A staff to support the goals of the individual which ultimately will encourage their ability to stabilize, recognize and actualize themselves to improved functioning. The CNA will monitor the individual’s status (location and activity) in the facility by providing a documented status account each hour. The CNA will be available to provide transportation to individuals to appointments and other collaborative supports outside of the home. The CNA should have experience working in a congregate setting with individuals who have experienced various bouts with mental health crisis. The CNA efforts will promote the supervision, safety, treatment and improved stability of individuals in the Residential Crisis Stabilization program.
The CNA will work closely with other professional team members to ensure a concentrated, efficient and timely approach to stabilizing individuals and preparing for a return to more manageable functioning. The CNA must display leadership, professionalism, creativity, be a multitasker, have ethical character, humility, efficient written and oral skills, a favorable team approach, organizational skills, accountability and familiarity with individuals diagnosed with mental illness.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse or licensed practical nurse
- Assist patients with activities of daily living
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse as needed
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients
- Document client information accurately and timely
Qualifications:
- Valid certification as a Nursing Assistant or completion of a Nursing Assistant training program
- Knowledge of basic patient care techniques and procedures
- Familiarity with medical terminology
- Ability to provide compassionate and attentive care to clients 18 and over
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a healthcare team
- Flexibility to work in various healthcare settings (Residential Crisis Stabilization Program)
- Basic life support (BLS) certification is preferred
Skills:
- Care for patients with various medical conditions and needs
- Provide patient care following established protocols and guidelines
- Administer medications according to prescribed instructions
- Provide treatment in Residential Crisis Stabilization Program
